He recorded an album call “Cembalism! : An adventure of Cembalo” with harpsichordist
Yoko Mori and percussionist Yoichi Odagiri in 2008. Later, he performed
the pieces from the album live on NHK-FM. Following year, a concert by
Sonar Cantando was selected as one of the “ 10 Best Concerts of the Year”
by Ongaku-no-Tomo Magazine. In 2010 and 2012, they were invited to perform
at Brescia International Music Festival. They also performed all Bach program
at Saint Agata Church in Cremona, Italy where Antonio Stradivari was married.
In 2012, he formed Piasola Quintet. Since 2013, he has been performing with keyboardist Syusuke Sugimoto at Period Instrument Project in Yatsugatake. In 2014, Sonar Cantando released their first album “Celtic Baroque”. In 2015 and 2017, with Contraponto, Mr. Tanazawa recorded Claudio Monteverdi's Vespro Della Beata Vergine which the 4k video of the performance has been aired by Ottava. From 2016, he started chamber series “The Great Masters of the Musical World”.
He is at home with wide repertoire range from Renaissance to Contemporary
works. He teaches young musicians, and also coaches and conducts orchestras
as well.
